An event highlighting Stratford's Fourth annual Hispanic Heritage festival was held recently at Stratford High School. Called the "Festival of Tables," it turned out to be the biggest festival event yet, with hundreds of people attending.

The town had its annual Veterans Day salute to Stratford's vets on the 11th day at the 11th hour this week. The ceremony included appearances by the mayor and Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, who spoke eloquently about those who served in America's past wars and conflicts and about the soldiers currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
